Less than half the women in Ireland have protection in place

The effects of Female Liberation movements are well established and women today can work in any sphere they aspire to and achieve what they wish.

However and astoundingly LESS THAN HALF OF THE WOMEN in IRELAND have some form of life/serious illness/income protection cover compared to over 60% of men.

Research carried out on behalf of Irish Life shows the financial impact of the loss of a female from a household through illness or death continues not to be considered when carrying out family protection reviews, even though it’s estimated that the cost to employ someone to do the household jobs normally undertaken by a stay at home parent would be at least €42,000 per annum!
